This month our focus will be on attempting to raise sufficient money to fund our piggery, for which constuction is due to begin in early May.

Also this month we will distribute trees worth 200,000 Shillings (Currently around $100, or £75). As these trees are distributed we shall take the opportunity to express to the recipients the importance of trees for binding soil together to prevent soil erosion; for protecting crops and structures from strong winds and for sheltering certain crops from the effects of excessive direct sunlight. Fruit trees also provide food as well as a potential source of income. Full details of this tree distribution will be provided in due course.

We are also beginning a big push to recruit new members in Uganda. Not only will this boost our funds, but more importantly it will provide an increased human resource to provide us with more ideas and skills. We hope also to fill the vacant positions on the Executive Committee - Human Resources Manager, PR Manager and Project Manager.
